ABOUT US

Who is Teaching?

  • Nechama Dina guides us through our learning and discussions with a wealth of Torah knowledge gained from years of formal and self study. She also currently serves the community as a "Torah-Centric" energy healer and life coach.

  • At the same time, anyone of the group who shares understandings or experiences, teaches us all and also opens a rich discussion.

The Group Identity & Purpose

  • We are women who love to learn - all across the world, living a Torah based life and yearning for Moshiach to bring the final redemption! We are learning and striving to improve our avodas Hashem (service of G-d) and understand that this begins with Torah and Mitzvos.

  • We meet together twice weekly for an hour or two of reading, sharing and delving into Torah from a deep Orthodox level.

  • The purpose of the group is to create a safe space for Ladies who have found or returned to Torah Judaism as an adult and / or those with little Hebrew proficiency, the opportunity to learn more than just the basics. So if you are at a "beginning level" in any of your learning, you're not limited to just Torah 101. We just jump right in.

  • Everyone deserves and is offered the same respect, regardless of their background or level of Torah observance. There is a place for everyone at any stage in their journey as we are all trying to live a better life, day by day. We can start this by encouraging one another.

  • The texts we use are in english and no prior knowledge is needed.  However, if you do have prior learning or deeper understandings to share, we encourage you to please join in and enrich the discussion for all. This really helps. The ladies often say that we have discussed something that they really needed to hear at that time. Questions always help us to learn further, so please don't be afraid to ask anything. No one is left behind.

Halachah & Affiliation

  • The starting point of our learning and understanding is from a Halachically "Orthodox" position, as established by the Sages long ago.  That said, all Ladies are welcome regardless of their beliefs on Halachah, or their Jewish affiliation.

  • We genuinely aim to foster a safe "big tent" and we may touch on Halacha along the way, however, we dont debate it's correctness in order to preserve unity and "Ahavas Yisroel" (love towards all of our Sisters & Brothers). There's plenty of other spaces for that. This doesn't mean you can't ask questions, we just ask that you please approach the topic of Halacha respectfully.

Accessing The Group

  • Ladies have the freedom to call in by telephone or access online through Zoom on a PC, Tablet or Smartphone. You can use a Web-cam if you like but some feel more comfortable leaving them off. That's always up to you.

  • Tanya Class with Nechama Dina - The Practical Tanya (Book 1) -  Sundays after 8:30pm EST (USA).

  • D'Var Torah / Parsha Study with Nechama Dina - Using various English translations of D'var Malchus, Likkutei Sichos or Likkutei Torah/Torah Or - Wednesdays after 8:30pm EST (USA).

If you would like more information on how to join in the calls, please fill out the contact form on our website and tell us a little about yourself. We also suggest our Ladies join the Geula Girls group chat and keep watch for class announcements in case of the need to reschedule. Discussion or activity isn't required, but you might enjoy it just the same.
